Background
İsmail Gemici was born in Samsun in 1982 and completed his primary and secondary education in Ankara.
He graduated in 2002 from Gazi University, Department of Computerised Accounting and Tax Applications, and went on to complete a bachelor's degree in Business Administration at Anadolu University.
He began his career in the Human Resources and Administrative Affairs department at Sabancı Center, and subsequently held human resources roles at major Turkish groups — Kiler Marketler Ticaret A.Ş., BİM Birleşik Mağazalar A.Ş. and Pidosan A.Ş. — rising to HR management.
Alongside that work he has provided human resources consultancy to companies in both service and manufacturing activities.
What he does here
İsmail brings the employer's-side perspective to our payroll and employment work: what a workforce of two hundred people actually looks like from the inside, where headcount planning and Turkish employment law collide, and how a recruitment and onboarding process needs to work if payroll and social security registration are going to be right on the first day.
He also handles project coordination on larger engagements, where formation, payroll setup, work permits and reporting have to be sequenced together.
